Who can use Bodek SMS?
Anyone with a Bodek account on a plan that includes SMS. See Plans, apps and storage.
How do I get a number?
Some numbers are shared and are available to send from right away. If your account doesn't have a number yet, contact support to get one.
Can I use one number for several groups?
A person can be in only one group per number. If you want the same people in more than one group, use a separate number for each group.
Why do group members need a dedicated number?
A group forwards every text to all its members, so it needs its own dedicated number to keep that group's messages together. Contact support to request one.
What happens when I hit my daily limit?
Messages beyond your daily allowance aren't sent unless you turn on pay-as-you-go. The allowance resets each day.
How much is pay-as-you-go?
$0.002 per message beyond your daily allowance, billed to the card on file. Turn it on under Accounts → Billing.
Can I send automated or 2FA messages from my own website?
Yes. Use the SMS API with an API key. Full docs are at dev.bodek.us/docs/sms.
How do I get API access?
Create an API key in the developer console (see Create an API key). Your plan must include SMS.
Are incoming replies shown?
Yes. Replies appear in your messages, and a group's replies are forwarded to the whole group.
Can the same number be used by more than one account?
For regular and automatic sending, a shared number can be available to more than one account. A group, though, needs its own dedicated number.
